In Search of the Bionik Booger: Albert Sy

Exhibiting from 16 June to 25 July 2023 is “In Search of the Bionik Booger” by Albert Sy at Post Gallery. Sy explores the transformation of thought and matter into an art piece and likens the process to picking a booger. Just like picking a booger, an artist one must dig deeply in the canal of oneself until he finds that one thing that needs escape from the inside and launches it in the air purposely (or not) hitting someone else.
 
Marked by punk leanings and a nihilist matter-of-fact black comedy, Albert Sy’s artworks have been exhibited in three solo exhibitions since 2008. He also has been self-publishing with Allan Balisi under the Nine Iron line.
