#thirdworldcuratorial: Sidd Perez
The Lopez Museum and Library invites you, together with the celebration of Museums and Galleries this October, to spend an afternoon with Sidd Perez in her curatorial talk entitled “#thirdworldcuratorial” on 25 October 2014. Perez, co-curator of the current exhibit “Articles of Disagreements,” explains that several questions abound when it comes to Philippine art criticism. In an effort to map out the connections the country’s art writing in a wider regional field, she and co-curator Lian Ladia collect texts related to the Philippine art language and art criticisms that are not only limited to the academic field. She is discussing these topics at the Reading Lab with several other young artists, curators and other art practitioners.
Sidd Perez is both a writer and curator who established Planting Rice with fellow curator, Lian Ladia last 2011. The duo aim to foster the rise of cross-pollination among artistic communities through their online platform, plantingrice.com.
