Jorge B. Vargas Museum
The building of the museum was formally inaugurated in 1987, almost nine years after Mr. Vargas bequeathed his collection to the University of the Philippines. The multi-level architecture was designed to support the museum’s diverse functions. Aside from maintaining a display of permanent art collection and library of archives, the areas in the Museum host temporary exhibitions - solo, group and travelling, and fosters a community arts program in the form of lectures, meet-the-artists sessions, book launching and reading, and recitals.
